Jerome Levy,
Chairman
Jerome Levy is Chairman of Vuelta Media, a company acquiring distribution and production
companies across Continental Europe. He was recently Vice Chairman of Archie Comics
Publications, where he oversaw aspects of TV and Film production, publishing, digital
activities, international expansion, licensing and merchandising.
Prior to joining Archie Comics Publications, Jérôme was a Managing Director of Houlihan Lokey’s
Technology, Media & Telecom Group. He joined Houlihan Lokey as part of its acquisition of MESA,
of which he was a Co-Founder and Managing Partner. MESA was a merchant bank and advisory firm
specialising in digital and traditional media transactions. There Jerome spearheaded an array of
investment banking, strategy, and capital raising engagements for companies throughout the
entertainment space. Most notably, he advised TV companies on their acquisition strategy, such
as Endemol, Banijay and Tinopolis.
Allen Duffy,
Chief Financial Officer
Allen Duffy is a qualified chartered accountant with over twenty years of senior finance
experience in the media and sports industries. Prior to joining Vuelta as CFO, Allen was
Director of Finance, M&A at Fremantle. There he worked on the successful sale of video game
maker Ludia (Canada) to Jam City for USD 165m, before managing multiple acquisitions including
Lux Vide (Italy), Element Pictures (Ireland), 72 Films (UK) and Silvio Productions (Israel).
Allen initially joined Fremantle as interim Director of Group Accounting and Control, leading
and supporting finance teams across thirty countries during the transition to work from home.
During four years as Head of Finance at PPL (music rights) Allen led the design and
implementation of new systems, reporting and processes for a greenfield joint venture with an
annual turnover of £300m. Prior to this he was Head of Finance for Shed Media where he supported
the successful exit of the founders and integration of the group into Warner Bros. Television
Group. Earlier in his career, Allen was a member of the stadium executive management committee
for Croke Park Stadium (Europe’s 3rd largest stadium) before helping LOCOG to deliver the London
2012 Olympics on budget.
Allen was a Non-Executive Director for the non-profit organisation Mind Yourself for four years
and represented the province of Ulster at Gaelic football and soccer at schools’ level.
Alison Mitchell,
General Counsel
Alison Mitchell is a ‘Legal 500’ recognised in-house lawyer, responsible for overseeing the
company’s governance and legal function.
Prior to joining Vuelta Group, Alison held the position of General Counsel, Company Secretary,
and Head of Donor Compliance with GOAL, a global INGO and was a member of the executive
team.
She has previous experience in the regulated energy sector and as a corporate associate with top
tier law firms, Maples and Calder (Ireland) LLP and Matheson LLP, advising domestic and
international clients on commercial, M&A and regulatory matters. She holds a Bachelor of
Corporate Law and LLM in European Law. She is a qualified solicitor and a member of the Law
Society of Ireland.
Shane Gahan,
Head
of Corporate Development
Prior to joining Vuelta, Shane Gahan worked as an Investment Director for a large Irish family
office, responsible for sourcing and evaluating investment opportunities in the lower mid-market
in Ireland and the UK for both operational businesses and real estate. Before this, Shane worked
in Investment Management at an asset manager for a Real Assets fund of Apollo Global Management,
responsible for transaction and portfolio management across real estate and distressed
loans.
Shane has also held positions in a European bank, specializing in distressed Corporate, large
ticket real estate, and SME portfolios in Dublin. He is a member of the Association of Certified
Chartered Accountants (ACCA), and has a BComm from University College Dublin and a Master’s
degree from Durham University.
David
Atlan-Jackson,
Chief Content Officer
For over twenty years, David Atlan-Jackson oversaw the selection, development and production of
films and TV projects for leading independent production and distribution financing company
Backup Media, participating in over 450 films and TV projects from all over the world. Among his
duties, David tracked the development activities of producers and developed in-house projects.
The films David has contributed to have gathered international awards including Best Actress at
the Academy for Julianne Moore, Richard Glatzer and Wash Westmoreland’s Still Alice and selections and prizes in
every A-list Film Festival around the world (Cannes, Berlin, Venice, Sundance and Toronto).
